The real bad guys.
They prey on our innocence and ignorance
drawing us in closer and closer
with tricks up their sleeves
and things we don't need
though we intend to not buy,
we're ankle deep in things.
and no matter how much
we try to leave
we are infinitely enslaved.
drawing us in closer and closer
with tricks up their sleeves
and things we don't need
though we intend to not buy,
we're ankle deep in things.
and no matter how much
we try to leave
we are infinitely enslaved.

What is it that defines someone
Is it the taste of music,
clothing,
the tv shows you watch.
None.
have we strayed so far from what it means to be ourselves.

Scanner.
Dad: Do you have a scanner?
Yeah
Dad: can you use it by itself?
...what?
Dad: yeah can you use it by itself?
no it's not something you use by itself it would go to your computer
Dad: what? but why would that happen
it scans on the computer
*45 minutes later
Mom: Yeah your dad was talking about those things that cut up paper
a paper shredder...how is that a scanner.
Yeah

Those were the years.
That I played outside
Before I got sucked into computers
When Saturdays meant early morning cartoons
and
exploring suburbia with my bike
when the backyard tree said, "space available"
and i gladly built a treehouse in it.
When silence was appreciated
No cars roamed
and silence was beautiful.
Crystal clear thoughts arose from it,
something thats hard to find now.

Nineteen Years.
It's been 19 years and still i find myself confused.
I'm not white nor am I black.
But I certainly do have small eyes.
I hears others speak the language,
Yet I would rather pronounce my L's like an L instead of an R.
I'm stuck in between two worlds that drift further apart.
And I can't seem to find myself on either side.
Its inexplicable.
I
Just
Don't
Fit
Here.
I Will find the others, someday. Soon...
